Horrible experience at the hibachi grill. Our $110 meal was overcooked and extremely salty, making it inedible. When we complained, management only offered a $7 discount and showed no concern. Staff tried their best, but management was completely unsympathetic. Save your money and dine elsewhere.

The hibachi is one of the highlights, the chefs are entertaining, the portions are generous, and the food is full of flavor. The steak, shrimp, fried rice, and vegetables are all cooked right in front of you, which makes the meal even more enjoyable. The sushi selection is also excellent, with plenty of choices for both sushi lovers and those who prefer cooked dishes. Tokyo is a Pensacola favorite for good food, generous portions, and an entertaining hibachi experience. Definitely worth checking out if you're craving Japanese food!

My wife and I have been coming here for years, but over the past couple of years we've noticed a decline in quality. We most recently visited on July 25, 2026, and unfortunately found the experience to be subpar. The staff and hibachi chef were excellent, as always, but it appears the restaurant has switched to lower-quality sauces and ingredients. Both the salad dressing and the ginger dipping sauce had very little ginger flavor. In the past, both sauces contained visible chunks of fresh ginger that gave them a distinctive texture and flavor, but those were noticeably absent this time. Additionally, the soy sauce tasted off, almost as if it were a cheaper substitute. For many years, this was one of the first restaurants we recommended to family and friends. Unfortunately, we can no longer do that in good conscience. The decline in quality has us searching for other hibachi restaurants instead. We sincerely hope management takes these concerns to heart and returns to the quality that made this restaurant one of our favorites.

Amazing food and even better service! The hibachi grill was delicious and the portions were generous. The staff is so welcoming and makes sure you’re taken care of from start to finish. If you’re looking for a great meal with top-notch hospitality, this is the spot.

Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse – A Fun and Delicious Experience! Our visit to Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse was fantastic! The hibachi was absolutely awesome—our chef was not only skilled but also incredibly personable. He kept us engaged the entire time, making the experience both entertaining and enjoyable. The food was delicious, and the Shakalaka Roll is definitely a must-try! The flavors were amazing, and it was the perfect addition to our meal. If you're looking for great food, a fun atmosphere, and an interactive dining experience, Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse is the place to go. We’ll definitely be back!
